Challenges for AI Applications in EPIA 2013

Azores is part of Macaronesia, a group of five archipelagos - Azores, Madeira, Savage Islands, Canary Islands and Cape Verde - situated in the North Atlantic Ocean. In an attempt to improve knowledge about AI applications, the organizers decided to setup a special program in which scientific research problems related to islands and archipelagos, often linked to Regional Development, are listed by researchers, while other researchers from Artificial Intelligence are invited to study and sketch some solutions for those problems.
